All work is carried out by our own technical staff. They are highly trained both in-house and independently. This commitment to team training is part of our continuous development programme.

Co-Founder/Partner Surveyor

Andrew has been in the preservation industry for over 34 years and at the age of just 20, he passed his first industry qualification and at that time was the youngest qualified surveyor in the country.

He is a fully qualified damp, timber and structural waterproofing surveyor and is also an Associate of the Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining, which was formerly the Institute of Wood Science, CSTDB, CSSW, AIMMM.

Andrew has been heavily involved with the industry’s governing body, The Property Care Association, (PCA) for many years and was honoured to be elected as the Chairman of the PCA in 2015.

He also continues to serve as the PCA’s Northern Regional Chairman.

He is recognised as being one of the North West’s foremost authorities in damp and timber problems and it’s not unusual to see him appearing on TV. He was invited to take part with Nick Knowles and the team on DIY SOS: The Big Build, when they transformed a property in Manchester for a war veteran and he also appeared on BBC News when he was involved with an innovative flood resilience project in Cumbria which recently won the Environment Agency’s project excellence award for climate resilience.

Andrew is also involved with Founders 4 Schools, and mentors and inspires young students about to embark on their career journey.

Andrew loves surveying and putting on his overalls and providing all his clients with a thorough, comprehensive and professional service.

When not at work, which isn’t that often, Andrew enjoys keeping fit at his local gym and is a keen cyclist.  He loves spending time with his family and tries to escape with them as much as possible.

Co-Founder/Partner Surveyor

Jamie has over 30 years experience in the industry and passed his first industry qualification in 1989 at the age of 21. Jamie has gone on to become fully qualified in all aspects of the industry.

 

He is a Qualified Remedial Dampness Surveyor, CRDS, a Qualified Timber Infestation Surveyor CTIS, a Qualified Surveyor in Remedial Treatments, CSRT and a Qualified Structural Waterproofing Surveyor, CSSW. Jamie is also an associate of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining, AIMMM, formally the Institute of Wood Science. He is bpec certified to design & test domestic ventilation systems and is has been accredited by the School of Waterproofing.

Jamie sits on the PCA Residential Ventilation Group Committee which is actively involved in promoting education and compliance in the domestic ventilation sector.

Jamie’s particular area of expertise is Basement & Structural Waterproofing and he has designed waterproofing systems and supervised contracts for clients all over the country, from existing and new-build basements to the protection of concrete structures above ground. There has even been the odd green roof involved.

Outside work Jamie enjoys travelling and spending time with his family. He likes to pretend he’s quite good at poker and has recently started to make his own wine, a combination which might not go to plan…

Skills

Operations Manager

Stacey is our Operations Manager and has 20 years extensive experience in office management, secretarial work and customer service.

Stacey is also our contract coordinator and assists the partners in the smooth running of all our activities, she is also responsible for implementing and updating all the training and personnel records for every member of staff and keeps all our extensive health and safety requirements compliant and up to date.

Stacey lives at home with her son Jake and enjoys, dancing, skating and travelling.

Marketing & Admin

Hayleigh is head of all our marketing activities including website management and social media and all of our administration.

 

She has vast experience in administration and customer service and is now working towards completing her level 3 in marketing.

Hayleigh lives at home with her little girl and chihuahua, Judge, She likes to show her personality through various hair colours.

Qualified Technician / Surveyor

Sam has just completed the industry’s specialist apprenticeship programme, the first step on a specialist path to a career in the preservation industry, and has been awarded his NVQ level 2 qualification dipolma.

He has also sat and passed the PCA remedial technicians exam for Structural Waterproofing (PCAQT) and is now training to become a surveyor within the company.

Sam lives at home with his fiance and cat Tigger. Sam likes to venture off to new places as often as he can, especially where there is sun involved.

Qualified Technician

Kevin is one of our most senior technicians and has been with us since 2007. As with all our technicians Kevin is NVQ level 2 qualified in Wood Preserving and Damp Proofing. Kevin has also recently sat and passed the PCA remedial technicians exams for damp proofing, wood preserving and Structural Waterproofing exam (PCAQT).

 

We are extremely proud that when Kevin achieved is NVQ level 2 qualifications he was one of only eleven technicians nationally who could boast the qualification.

Kevin heads up our team of technicians who specialise in our basement and structural waterproofing contracts as well as all our concrete and structural repairs and has been involved with some extremely complex contracts up and down the country.

Kevin lives with his girlfriend and has four children. He also quite fancies himself as Maverick from the film Top Gun, if you see him in his Aviators you’ll know what we mean!

Qualified Technician

Ben started working for us in 2009 and is excelling in the industry. He has also obtained his NVQ Level 2 qualification in Wood Preserving and Damp Proofing. Ben has also recently sat and passed the PCA remedial technicians exam (PCAQT).

 

 

Ben’s ability to put his hand to all aspects of the work we are involved with makes him an extremely valuable member of our team, whether it be damp proofing, replacing or treating a floor to replastering, and if we’re talking wall tie replacement, then he’s your man.

When not working, Ben loves to spend time with his three beautiful children and plays for his local pool team.

Qualified Technician

Michael brings with him 30 year’s experience in the building industry. Michael has vast experience in project management and his previous roles included the responsibility of being a health and safety officer. Michael has also recently sat and passed the PCA remedial technicians exam for damp proofing, wood preserving and Structural Waterproofing (PCAQT).

 

Michael has taken on his new challenge like a duck to water and he’s already proving to be a valuable member of the team.

Michael likes golf, football and the outdoors. Michael recently got married and lives at home with his wife and their German Shepherd dog.

Plasterer/Technician

Manni has a wealth of plastering knowledge and experience and has worked in the industry for many years and has also spent time in the Channel Islands using specialist products.

He is bilingual in spanish and English. In his spare time you will find him either spending time with his fiance and children or playing the guitar.

Electrician / Ventilation Engineer

Laurence is our domestic ventilation and electrical engineer and is responsible for installing all our ventilation and condensation control units.

Laurence has over 20 years experience and is highly qualified holding City & Guilds level 3 as well as being a 17th Edition Qualified electrician. He also has qualifications in Site Management & Site Supervisor Safety and has IPAF qualifications.

Laurence is also qualified by NICEIC to install and commission domestic ventilation systems

Laurence is a bit of a workaholic but when not working he loves to be out on his mountain bike with his son.

Qualified Technician

Dominic carries out both building preservation and structural waterproofing works. He has a degree in Environmental Science and has also sat and passed the PCA remedial technicians exam for Structural Waterproofing (PCAQT).

In his spare time Dominic is a keen climber and enjoys art and cooking.

 

Technician

Andy is new to the team and brings with him a good all round knowledge of the construction industry

Andy is an avid snooker player and a huge family man which is a must when you have a large family.

Trainee Technician

Brandon is the youngest member of the team and he is working towards obtaining all the relevant industry qualifications.

 

Brandon is the son of our longest serving team member, Kevin.  He lives at home and enjoys going to the gym. He is an avid game of thrones fan and often compares himself to a young John snow.

Dylan is an enthusiastic new addition to the team who enjoys going to the gym and has just recently passed his driving test.
